Short answer: no. Tesla's referral must be applied before the order is submitted. Tesla does not attach referrals to existing orders retroactively.
The referral is recorded at the moment the order is placed, from the browser session the referral link opened. Once the order confirmation exists without a referral, there's no field, form, or support process to add one.
Already ordered without one — options?
- Ask your Tesla advisor. Policy says no, but it costs nothing to ask — occasionally advisors can help if the order hasn't progressed.
- Cancel and reorder? Usually not worth it: Tesla order fees are typically non-refundable, and you'd lose your delivery slot and possibly your price. Weigh that against a limited-time FSD trial.
- Next time / another car. The benefit applies per qualifying order, so a future order (or a family member's) can still use one.
Ordering soon? Do it in this order
- Open an active referral link — for example: ts.la/mikael97188 (code mikael97188).
- Configure your Model 3 or Model Y in that same session.
- Place the order. Done — the referral is attached.
